i put love notes into library books, and hide them in my scanner

16-10-2009
the campaign is simple.
have you ever had a bad day? one where you just want somebody to realise that you are, and make you feel better?
this originally came about because of four things
1) the free hugs campaign
2) project beautiful
3) postsecret readers who put their own secrets into books
4) a lonely bookworm poet, with spare time and a red pen
i started writing love notes, and slipping them into library books that i was returning. as i have an account on deviantart, i posted a scan of them on my page. this was recently given a lot more press [and i mean a lot] and i was overwhelmed by just how many people have messaged me asking if they can do the same.
so, it became a campaign.
to take part, simple write your message of hope onto a small-ish piece of paper, colour as you like, and write this web address onto the back in case the recipient of your note wants to join.
then slip it into any library books you have to return.
[if you are not a library regular, i look forward to seeing where you put yours. suggestions have included: newspapers, blockbuster DVD's, on the train, on the bus, in textbooks, on shelves in shops, etc etc... be inventive.]
that's all it takes.
for more information, or if you have any questions/ideas/features you want to show/photographic evidence of you taking part then message me at my deviantart account [seen at the bottom of the blog] or email me at librarylovenoter@flowersforthedead.com
i will always reply, unless you are being a twit and not offering anything constructive.
flamers, be gone!

  3. I have made some, though not quite like that. It's on my blog, if you want to see what other people are doing.
I am certain those are going to make someone crack a smile, even if it is just because they are unbelievably corny (which people secretly love, don't let them tell you otherwise).
